Real Fit Mini Challenge

🔥📢 WEEKLY CHALLENGE TIME! 🔥📢 ♻😱🛑 Did you know that the average American produces 4.4 pounds of trash and waste EVERY SINGLE DAY? 🌍 Waste management is a HUGE and complicated problem affecting the entire planet. 👩‍🔬☣ Richer countries ship their waste and recycling to poorer countries with less strict environmental laws. Sometimes what we send for “recycling” ends up in landfills. And sometimes the trash even ends up in the ocean, floating around and harming sea life. 🐋🐬

⚡This week our challenge is to focus on reducing our waste footprint (even the amount of waste we send to recycling!). This is important because the health of our home (Earth) affects our personal health … and the health of generations to come! 🔥 🌍💰⏰💰 An unexpected upside of reducing our waste footprint? You’ll save a lot of time and money … and it’s also great for your own health (not just the planet’s!)! Here are just a few tips to get started: 🔥 When you make a purchase, think about the packaging BEFORE you buy it. How will you dispose of it? Have a plan before you buy. 🥤 Stop buying plastic water bottles … switch to a BPA-free water bottle. ⚡ Switch to glass containers for your food storage. 🥙 Bring your own lunch to work ... in a reusable lunchbox. 🥫 Try to avoid buying food that comes in packages or in individually packed portions. 🥦 Bring your own reusable grocery bag to the grocery store 👚 Use old clothes for cleaning rags around the house, instead of paper towels.
